What makes the ModernLift different from a full facelift?

The ModernLift is a Deep Plane Facelift and Neck Lift that focuses on the jawline and jowls. It uses shorter incisions and is performed under local anesthesia, unlike a full traditional lift which involves the entire neck and mid-face under general anesthesia.

What is the SMAS layer and why is it lifted?

The SMAS is the deep structural layer of your face. Dr. Dane lifts this layer directly to provide a long-lasting, natural result that doesn't look "tight" or "pulled."

Will I be awake during the procedure?

Yes. All ModernLift procedures are performed under "Awake Local Anesthesia." You will be completely numb and relaxed with light oral sedation, but you avoid the risks and recovery of being "put under."

How long is the downtime?

Most patients return to social activities within 7 to 10 days. We provide comprehensive post-op care to minimize swelling and bruising.

Where are the scars hidden?

Incisions are placed within the natural contours of the ear and the hair. Once healed, they are extremely difficult to see, even with short hair.

How long do the results last?

While aging continues, the structural lift of the ModernLift typically lasts 7 to 10 years or more before maintenance is considered.
